Steel Foundry

Been going in the pub at least twice a month since it first opened, but the last two or three times we've been in the food has been really poor.

My husband usually has the mixed grill and the meat is sometime under cooked. I usually have the lamb shank, which has being going downhill these last few weeks, but this evening took the biscuit. I ordered my usual lamb shank with vegetables and mashed potatoes, but when it came it was swimming in gravy, no veg, and I think that was the reason for all the gravy - to cover up that there was no veg.

And the meal made me feel very sick and I couldn't eat it. This was the first time I have ever complained to the waitress and asked to let the manager know but nobody came over to apologise to me.

Lovely atmosphere and layout of the pub. All bar and floor staff are friendly and happy to help with anything and chatty. The food is lovely as well, would highly recommend.

We have added a basic listing for the Steel Foundry pub in Meadowhall shopping centre. The new Wetherspoon's venue opened in July 2015 and replaces the existing Clock Tower pub on the same site. Food is served from breakfast time and the pub is open until midnight daily.
