Visiting university to give a lecture, saw the pub signs, wandered inside and was told no food, only drinks.

Paid for a pint, and went to check the Roebuck website for dinner times... Website is bunk?

Good food but that slow they got me a telling off at work for being very late.

Should inform diners of estimated ready time.

Just had a shopping day in Sheffield and called in Roebuck Tavern for lunch. Not been in for a while.

What a transformation. New owners have redecorated it and it's all clean and fresh. Food was tasty and plentiful, and bar staff were very polite and friendly.

Having been in here the service is a disgrace, the bar staff seem to prefer to chat to each other then serve. There are 12 of us go out Saturday night and we will definitely be giving this place a miss.

Went to the Roebuck Tavern the other day. We have been going for many years, as it's always been a very warm, relaxed atmosphere and the staff and management has always been very welcoming and the food has always been top notch.

But this time we where very disappointed with everything that we experienced. The service was terrible, the food was very bland, and took nearly three quarters of an hour to reach our table. That only gave us 15 minutes to eat it, as we only get an hour for our lunch break. And the new barmaid was just constantly on her phone and laptop behind the bar.

I've recently discovered that there's new management taken over and it certainly shows for the worse. Think its time to find a new local.

I would just like to say how amazing the Roebuck Tavern was on Friday 19th October. I had my wedding reception there and they were brilliant.

The food was top-notch for a reasonable price. too. The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much for them. I am really pleased with the way they handled everything and their mannerisms. Thank you.

The Roebuck Tavern - what a class experience of beer, service and humour - how pubs should be. And the food was also very good. I wish the pub was in Devon where I live.

Take a visit early evening and enjoy a Guinness or two, great music on the jukebox, relaxed and it's got a vibe about it hard to find these nowadays. Congrats from a guy who knows what it takes to get it right.
