The Porter Brook in Sharrow Vale holds a regular jam night called the "Porter Jam Night" on alternate Tuesdays. The next night is Tuesday 14th November and all are welcome to play and sing.

The pub in general is very busy and has a fantastic atmosphere, thanks to the staff and management.
Sunday lunch is brilliant value at 2 for £8 and the quality is superb.
We have had some fabulous Motown and soul evenings, which have been on a Friday evening and well worth a visit. The quizzes have also gone down a treat and has a great student interest.
