Had a very tasty pub lunch at Holly Bush Inn today. Beautiful creamy chicken & ham pie with flaky pastry & hand-cut chips. Followed by a delicious apple crumble, big pieces of apple & yummy custard, best I've had in years. Would thoroughly recommend this place for a decent meal.

News for Holly Bush Inn:

  • The Holly Bush pub, a well-known establishment on Hollins Lane in Rivelin, is now seeking new management after landlords Luke and Abbey abruptly left their positions. Their departure has come as a surprise to the local community, which had embraced the couple since their arrival just four months ago.

Luke and Abbey took over the management of The Holly Bush at the end of February, bringing with them a promise of a warm and inviting atmosphere, good times, and quality drinks. During their brief tenure, they organised a variety of events, including disco karaoke, Yorkshire-themed Family Fortunes, and darts, catering to a diverse crowd ranging from walkers with dogs to bikers. Their efforts quickly endeared them to the patrons, creating a sense of community that will be sorely missed.

In a heartfelt farewell message, Luke expressed his gratitude to the local patrons, stating, "Abbey and I have cherished our time here and will miss everyone deeply...thank you for your continued support and understanding."

Despite the sudden change in management, a spokesperson for Star Pubs, the owner of The Holly Bush, assured the community that the pub remains open and operational under the same company. "There has been a change of manager at the pub, but the pub is open as normal with the same operating company running it," the spokesperson said.

The Holly Bush is now advertising for new landlords, with an estimated minimum ingoing cost of £10,079 and an annual rent of £18,949. The pub, which boasts a turnover of £300,000, serves a customer base primarily made up of elderly couples and mature singles.
