The Forty Foot was for many years a brill pub. Yes it went downhill a bit but I am pleased to say Sharron is working towards bringing it back to a community pub.
We went in great turn on - Lorna Kennedy. Never laughed and enjoyed so much for ages. Good beer, friendly staff, nice and clean. Children allowed in up to about 8pm. They do children's activities Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in the school holidays. Tea etc... refreshments are available if you don't fancy a pint. The Prince and Princess day held bank holiday bouncy castle etc... enjoyed by ALL age groups. Good turn on this Friday, we will be there.

Nobody ever in, staff ignorant. Stood five minutes at the bar and the landlady just stands gassing. Beer too expensive for what it is, a grotty estate pub.

Had a reputation, but under new management and I can say that it's a great, friendly pub with free pool on Wednesdays and varied events and a nice pint.
