We have owned a house close to the Crown for over 2 years, but only found this great pub yesterday.
When I first enquired about booking I was greeted by a very friendly landlord. We had family here for the weekend and booked for Sunday lunchtime.
When I first arrived I felt immediately that this was going to be an enjoyable experience, and I found that I was right. The landlord and his wife run a friendly place with excellent food and service. We were all well impressed.
At the end of the meal I knew that we had found our new local, and I am sure they will see a lot more of us.
I lived in Leeds for twenty years, and was very lucky to have a regular pub and restaurant there that I really thought would be very difficult to match. I am pleased to say that The Crown is a very suitable replacement.
Many thanks to Roger and his wife.
