Dreadful, inedible meals. Had to go home and cook a meal! The waitress didn't even comment on the fact that we hadn't eaten it so I guess it's a common occurrence. My fish looked as if it had been recooked 3 times at least, and there was nothing inside the scampi! Couldn't even eat the chips! Bad, bad place.

My wife and I were due to meet friends and relatives for a birthday celebration, and having read some of the published reviews we were unsure of what to expect.

Upon arrival we were greeted by a polite and smiling member of staff who immediately directed us to a table. Unsure of what to order, we decided on the sea bass, and to our surprise it was well presented, superbly cooked with vegetables with salad. and tasted delicious.

We would like to congratulate all the staff and we will certainly re-visit this restaurant again the next time we are in the area.

Ordered two vegetarian moussaka tonight at Meadow Farm, Ecclesfield.

The meals came and as we started to eat we realised that one of the meals was a beef lasagne! Asked staff to check with the chef but was told that it was definitely the vegetarian option.

Then asked for the manager, who agreed it was beef lasagne. She said sorry and said I will tell the chef to be more careful. Offered a refund but then could not be bothered to bring the refund out herself and preferred to carry on working behind bar and taking orders out.

I cannot believe the flippancy in which she treated this most upsetting incident. I then had to queue at the bar for a colleague to go and find the manager, and even then she sent a member of the team to give me the refund.

No accountability, responsibility, or empathy was shown... Will definitely never return to this so-called restaurant/pub.

Went to Meadow Farm tonight, Friday 9th October. Waited at the entrance by the "Please wait to be seated" sign for a short while. The pub was busy, but we waited and waited. However, after being stood there for about 20 minutes and being totally ignored, enough was enough.

Could not one member of staff have acknowledged us? Manners are very cheap. Have the decency to let your customers know you are busy, but will get them seated as soon as they can, and perhaps they would like to wait in the bar until their table comes available.

My £70 is now nestling in a nearby premises' till.

Just returned from Meadow Farm. We made the mistake of not looking at the carvery before ordering. It was awful. The vegetables were kept in bain-maries so they were just a pile of mush. The mash looked like and had the texture of wallpaper paste, the stuffing balls were so salty they were inedible and the gravy had no taste whatsoever.

I find it hard to comprehend how an eating establishment can manage to serve up food that doesn't taste of anything and not know how bad it is or don't care. I didn't go there expecting 5-star food but I didn't expect to be served up a plate of inedible, bland crap that even a dog would turn its nose up at.

I would suggest all the staff sit down and eat this stuff themselves and see how they like it!

Good quality food and large portions. The kids' play area is very large and keeps our son occupied while we eat. The staff are reasonably friendly and the place is family orientated. Would recommend to people with young children.
