A nice, friendly public house in the traditional style. A good selection of drinks with 1 or 2 real ales on offer. Jukebox is available but there is usually good music playing. A pool table is available.
Just been down to Norfolk Arms as we do most Wednesdays. Pizzas were brilliant as usual. We also had the Sheffield platter for £10.00. Don't bother. Two mini pork pies, two pieces of stale black pudding and a scotch egg. Mentioned it to staff but no response. Stick to Wednesday pizza.
This is not a nice pub. Filled with young men that need to go to the loos every 10 minutes and then come back bouncing. Yes you got it, it's a drugs pub where you have got to watch your bag. This is not a nice place. I would rather stay at home than ever go here again. Thanks.
This place is one of our local haunts and we have never had to complain before now.
We visited for a drink on the 24/05/2017 around 7pm. When leaving we had to mention to a woman who was blocking the car park entrance/disabled car parking space with her car that we wouldn't be able to get our car out, to which she replied "I work here", so in other words you can take a running jump. She was very nasty in her approach to us. Not seen her before & don't want to come across her again. Can not understand why the Travellers Rest would employ someone like this, as all other employees are very pleasant.
Told no groups allowed in this bar by the bouncers, yet other groups were visibly allowed in. Very poor service. Not recommended. Spoilt the night, as was on a leaving do and not allowed in with the rest of the colleagues from work.
Good service tonight but pub quiet. Paid top price for a bottle of NZ Sauvignon Blanc but it was not well chilled. Excuse was "we were busy last night" but no discount offered although we ate 2 courses, but that was the only way to get value for money on the chosen meals!
