Great food, very poor service indeed... 23 minutes for coffee.
- Paul,
This is not a nice pub. Filled with young men that need to go to the loos every 10 minutes and then come back bouncing. Yes you got it, it's a drugs pub where you have got to watch your bag. This is not a nice place. I would rather stay at home than ever go here again. Thanks.
- Kayleigh,
This place is one of our local haunts and we have never had to complain before now.
We visited for a drink on the 24/05/2017 around 7pm. When leaving we had to mention to a woman who was blocking the car park entrance/disabled car parking space with her car that we wouldn't be able to get our car out, to which she replied "I work here", so in other words you can take a running jump. She was very nasty in her approach to us. Not seen her before & don't want to come across her again. Can not understand why the Travellers Rest would employ someone like this, as all other employees are very pleasant.
- Kas,
Told no groups allowed in this bar by the bouncers, yet other groups were visibly allowed in. Very poor service. Not recommended. Spoilt the night, as was on a leaving do and not allowed in with the rest of the colleagues from work.
- James,
Good service tonight but pub quiet. Paid top price for a bottle of NZ Sauvignon Blanc but it was not well chilled. Excuse was "we were busy last night" but no discount offered although we ate 2 courses, but that was the only way to get value for money on the chosen meals!
- Margaret Brown,
I visited the Mulberry whilst waiting for doors to open at the O2 opposite. There was a reggae disco playing and an enchanting little girl dancing solo, who reminded me of my college days.
Will visit again for live music.
- Jeff,
Has a really good music quiz on a Thursday night. Friday night has a good general knowledge quiz.
Landlord/landlady and bar staff are excellent.
- Kathryn Buckley,
Nice enough pub but the landlady is classless and very unwelcoming. Will not be visiting again!
- Josh,
Don't bother. Waited 8 minutes to get served. Nobody serving at bar, then a workman came in and she jumped up to serve him. Then she said "wait a minute", as she was on her phone flirting with about 6 builders. Service a big zero, so walked down to Hillsborough corner and had meals and drinks. £45 spent.
We will not call again. You have been warned!
- Rob,
Just had a meal at the Sportsman Inn, S10. Really was one of the worst meals I have had.
Made a selection from both the main menu and the specials for four people and considering the price difference there really was no difference in the quality of the food. All our four meals were bland and tasteless.
I don't normally write any reviews but was really disappointed with this food. The coffee was missed at the end of the meals even though these were included, but to be honest we just paid the bill and left.
I could have cooked and presented food better myself with one hand tied behind my back... will not be going back and stick to our normal lunches at S11.
This pub used to have fabulous food, what a shame.
- Simon Allen,
