1 Review of Tap & Barrel:
James Friday
I visited the Tap and Barrel after a difficult day of being alone on my 68th birthday, plus a lot of frustrating work. The landlady was very kind to me, without any condescension.
I had a couple of great pints and a whisky. I accidentally spilled the whisky and she replaced it without charging me. I tried to pay, but it was no use. Her plain generosity was very heartening for me.
After that, I started talking with some other old bloke, and we naturally solved the world's problems.
This is a great little pub, with a landlady who is probably the nicest I've ever met.
