Plans are afoot to clean up notorious city-centre pub the Hen & Chickens. Since taking over the pub Carl Peat and his partner Tracey Cohen have barred 30 people, installed CCTV cameras and have permanent door staff on duty. Carl and Tracy have big plans for the Hen & Chickens, including music, food cooked with ingredients from Castle Market, and a £500,000 refit and extension.

I went in the pub and I found it was a very nice drink. I like it, the staff are very nice and so is the manger, she is a nice lady and she makes you feel welcome, too.
