Abbeydale Brewery took over this pub in May 2007 and re-opened it as a free house, renaming it The Moon. It now has 10 handpumps, 5 dedicated to Abbeydale beers and 5 to microbreweries from around the country. There is a good selection of local and continental lagers and beers on draught and over 30 bottled Belgian beers.
There is an extensive menu available lunctimes and evenings every day
except Tuesday.

We really enjoy going to the Moon! It's family-friendly, there are books and games so you don't have to haul kids' entertainment with you, an excellent selection of beers and a great menu (the specials are recommended!)
The function room at the back is a good size and has just been refurbished - live music events looking for a venue should take note!

The pub previously known as the Office at Upperthorpe has reopened as the Moon and is now an Abbeydale Brewery pub with ten real ales available.
