I have worked around Eccy road for a couple of years now and I have spent many of my lunch hours in the Pomona!

It was quite sad to see it go down hill last year and I honestly didn't go in due to the customers and the food was terrible... But it's turned itself around, and now the menu is great and the food is fantastic!

The staff behind the bar are always friendly and considerate. My work team always go there for special occasions (for anything really... because it's a Tuesday!) as it's affordable, great atmosphere and gorgeous food.

I recommend anyone who is around there and a bit peckish to nip in (the other pubs around Eccy road seem to be poor in compared to the Pomona recently!) 10 out of 10!

Pomona Pub News

The Pomona on Ecclesall Road reopened on Saturday 10th November under new management. The new tenants had this to say:

"Our plans for the pub are based around the fast and efficient service of quality products in an environment that everyone will feel comfortable. They also include the addition of live music to the entertainments roster as well as the reinstatement of Sky Sports. Food will also play an important part of our development although this is not imminent, as we have a lot of work to do to get this right."
