I have a serious complaint about this pub! I stopped in to get some lunch there and (like you do) parked in their parking area. I quickly popped to the bank next door (about 20 yards away) to draw some cash to go to the pub. I did not stand in a queue and did not take even two minutes at the cash machine. By the time I was done and was walking back to the car to get my mobile to go into the pub for a bite to eat, my car had been clamped!
They then charged me £100 to get it unclamped - all because I had walked to the cash machine to get cash for my meal at the pub! According to them I was 'illegally parked' because I had walked off the premises (a few yards off the premises). They would not listen to reason or care - they just took my £100 and unclamped my car.
Obviously after that I did not have any money to buy the meal I had set out to have, nor did I even want to enter the establishment.

Visited this pub on a Saturday night for a birthday meal. What can I say! Shocking food and service!
We were moved from the conservatory due to over-booking and made to sit in the lounge area of the pub, having pushed the tables together ourselves. Food was ordered and then 20 minutes later they came to say that they did not have enough fish.
My 5-year-old daughter ordered fish fingers. I have never come across a pub that doesn't know how to cook them. They arrived battered. Do they not know what breadcrumbs are? The food was not brilliant. Scampi was a plate full of chips and salad with a greasy homemade tartare sauce.
All we received was a free bottle of wine. I would never go back to this pub again.

Very friendly pub, excellent food cooked from scratch, children's play area, five pumps including one good real ale, Barnsley Bitter from Acorn Brewery.
Only downside is its location, marooned between two small villages, so that there are rarely more than ten people in, even on a Friday night. But this means you can usually get a sofa seat by the open fire and read the National Geographic magazines. The exception is when about 50 people turn up for the poetry evening, last Wednesday of each month.

Nice food at a nice price.
Xmas menus out now. £6.50 for a 4-course OAP Xmas dinner throughout December, and the menu's not bad, either .
Sunday dinner is still same the price of £3.95 and it's all home made. Not to be missed.

My partner and I had a lovely meal there last month and we are going back soon. They have a good menu for everyone, even young children.

First time, fish and chips were recommended, you wont be disappointed we were told.
And true to the word, the homemade chips and freshly battered fish were delicious. This is now going to be our weekly treat.

Went in for a drink and Sunday lunch, there were 10 of us out for a double birthday.
The drinks were very reasonably priced and the place very clean and tidy.
The only downside was that because of the size of our party we had to wait for over an hour. But when we did get to our tables the food was really nice, all very freshly cooked with extras if you wanted it.
I would fully recommend this place for a carvery anytime. And unlike my local the staff were all to willing to help and give service with a smile.

Went in the Mount Pleasant on Sunday. Thankfully the miserable landlord was out playing golf, but what a wonderful replacement (barmaid) he had working for him. She must be a clone of him.
A customer complained about a pint of lager being flat so the barmaid told him to go elsewhere, and when the landlord was informed about this he just shrugged his shoulders.
It is no wonder this pub is going down hill, which is a shame because it is one of the few "proper pubs" left about.

This pub is owned by the Sizzling Pubs chain. I dined there recently and was impressed by their quality and range of meals. When it first opened they only generally offered one real ale, if at all, but on my recent visit three real ales were on offer.
A welcome addition for south-east Sheffield, where most other pubs are keg only or at best do no more than pay lip service to real ale.

Probably one of the best of Sheffield's "hidden gems"! They offer a good selection of real ales and an excellent food menu in a very pleasant atmosphere.
My Mum and I dined there on a Saturday evening two weeks ago, and we were really impressed, particularly with the vegetarian options.
It is rather off the beaten track, but only a short uphill walk from Ecclesall Road, Hunters Bar and Endcliffe Park. It is also with easy reach of Nether Edge.
