The Hare & Hounds has changed a lot since I first visited it two years ago. Back then there were two separate rooms. The pub has since been knocked through and refurnished by owners Burtonwood Brewery. It now has a clean, spacious bar and is tastefully decorated.

The range of beers served is better than before, with all the popular lagers from Carling to Kronenbourg 1664. It has Burtonwood's beers, the names of which I can't remember, apart from Top Hat (a strong beer!).

The Hare & Hounds has special nights with karaokes most weekends. They also have a pool team (who were winning last time I visited!).

If you're looking for a nice village pub with all the mod cons, look no further!

The Hare & Hounds in Oughtibridge is to reopen under new management today after a major refurbishment.

Rumour has it that Burtonwood Brewery has found a new tenant for the Hare & Hounds pub in Oughtibridge. The pub is currently being run by relief managers after the previous licensee declined to renew his lease.
