Had a relaxed girlie pre-Xmas meal there the other night. Lovely warm welcome by the bar staff, food was delicious, well cooked and piping hot. Good varied menu, value for money and vegetarian options available.

Having been run down a bit over recent months, it was nice to see the place had been taken over by a new owner.

Food is back on, which has been missing over the last few months and it's really nice. There is a carvery on Sundays, which was very busy when we visited and the normal menu is on every day, with a lunchtime special menu, which is really good value. A good family pub for food but still a nice place to relax and have a few glasses of wine and chat with friends.

Overall a good experience and it's on my doorstep which makes it even better!
