Very disappointed in the meal we had today for lunch. Ordered duck, which was very tasty, but the vegetables left much to be desired. Carrots, green beans, and cauliflower all looked as though they had been plated up for some considerable time. New potatoes were just about passable.
Will not be returning there in a hurry.

Be careful what you order from the menu is the best advice here. I was bitterly disappointed with my visit to Ye Olde Mustard Pot. When I chose pork chop and mash from the menu and that is exactly what I got for £10 - one solitary chop, not of great proportions, and mash, not a pea or carrot or anything else in sight.
I asked when it was presented to me if the dish came with veg. and was informed it did not. I asked if veg. could be bought as a side and was promised some. After 15 minutes I finished eating, without the veg. appearing. What a boring plate of expensive chop and mash.
When paying at the till I was asked if everything was alright with my meal, to which I replied if the dish was served without veg. this should be offered or at least pointed out when ordering. I said the meal was not of value and was spoiled because of the lack of interest on the plate. The bartender replied he was sorry about it but did nothing to rectify the matter. Happy to let customers leave displeased and knowing they wouldn't be back.
Nice surroundings but disappointing fayre. Not somewhere to return to.
