The Beeley Wood pub in Middlewood is to reopen again shortly under new management following a refurbishment. The pub closed earlier this year in the wake of a shooting in November 2006.

The Beeley Wood pub in Middlewood has been closed until further notice and there are no plans to reopen in the near future.

Four people received hospital treatment after shots were fired into the Beeley Wood pub in Middlewood tonight at around 7:45PM. The shooting apparently followed a row between two rival gangs earlier in the evening. A South Yorkshire police spokesman said "It then appears a shotgun has been discharged into the bar area."
