Shocking service. Bar maids that don't know price of a glass of wine, didn't know how to open a new bottle of wine - she gave to a customer to open - TRUE. Also didn't have a large glass for wine - wanted serve two small glasses. Never again - embarrassing.

A 5-star brilliant staff, the very best landlady I have ever seen, always working for you to make you welcome. I love it, must be the best recommended pub in Norton, and I go out all the time, not like some who only go out for Christmas and dish the dirt. Give it a go, a chance you will love it. You cannot find a better place to have some fun. It's the place to be.

Nice food at a nice price.
Xmas menus out now. £6.50 for a 4-course OAP Xmas dinner throughout December, and the menu's not bad, either .
Sunday dinner is still same the price of £3.95 and it's all home made. Not to be missed.

Fantastic! The food is amazing, the staff were friendly, lovely environment couldn't ask for more. Worth the visit, homemade food at its best, simple the way it should be.

Having decided to try our new local and having passed the pub every day, we thought we'd try the advertised "amblers family restaurant" We rung the pub to check what time they served food and reserved a table.
We were early so sat down at a table only to be told that that was where the band would set up and our table was being laid specially over the other side. When we took our seats, the table was wet with beer; the cutlery dirty and someone didn't know their left from their right.
No effort was made to make us feel welcome or move the swearing teenage clients from around the table. As we changed our minds to go somewhere else the staff seemed really surprised!
Not the family restaurant it advertises outside!
