Travellers Inn Public House

Travellers Inn is local to Ecclesfield, Parson Cross & Grenoside, so whether you're up for a party, watching sport, meeting with friends and family, or just relaxing and taking the time to unwind, we put the sizzle into Sheffield!

We have an outdoor children's play area with a wonderful beer garden for the summer. Inside is a very warm and welcoming atmosphere, with our excellent team providing you with outstanding customer service to cater for all your needs.

Reservations are welcome, and large group bookings can be arranged. Pre-booking for large groups would be advised, as it could get slightly busy on a weekend.

Our function room is available for free if you're having a do but we're also only too happy to let local non-profit organisations and groups use it completely free of charge for meetings and events.

Went for meal and drinks. Had steak and BBQ meal. Absolutely delicious. There was 5 of us, we all had different meals, all delicious. Great service - very friendly and it's lovely and warm in here, too. Can't wait to go back.

Thank you to the staff and cook. Also very responsible prices.

Sorry to say my experience was not great having a Groupon voucher for two starters and mains valued at £34. We asked if small mixed grill was on the deal and they said yes. When my husband ordered and paid I checked the bill it was all wrong. When I went to the bar to check the bill then they said the small mixed grill wasn't on the deal so we had to pick something else but they didn't know what value the voucher was. they got nasty to me.

Anyway we waited nearly a hour for the food and starters came in a small dish that was used for coleslaw. 3 chicken nuggets in one and 5 skinny halloumi sticks, no plates. Mains chips was cold. People slag Wetherspoons but they have simple food, always hot, and if anything goes wrong they deal with it

Travellers Inn was the worst meal I've had.

Service absolutely terrible. Met at the door by children. At this stage we should have turned around and walked out but we stayed because we had a long day and were hungry.

Food was terrible unless you like cheese. I had beef lasagne - more like cheese lasagne. Tables were dirty, dirty cutlery on the floor, walls splattered with food, and bombarded with flies. Will never go back to this terrible, dirty place.

I would like to say the manager has no idea on how to run a pub. He has no customer skills. When he pours a drink for a customer he doesn't even know when the lemonade has run out, and in my opinion he should not be in charge and working with members of the public.

Just returned from the Travellers, Ecclesfield. The food was absolute rubbish.

My order should have come with onion rings, which it did not. My 10-year-old son had a kids meal. He ordered apple juice but they didn't have any so he had blackcurrant. And the chocolate sponge that he ordered initially? We were later told they didn't have this but would do him a warm cookie and ice cream. After waiting 15 minutes for this we decided to leave. My partner's meal was a microwave meal.

I have been before to this establishment and the food has been OK.I won't be going again.

Lovely food, we had a carvery and it was lush. Reasonable prices, too, and free desert with a meal deal. Free face painting for children and a play area outside for kiddies, and beer garden.

Couldn't ask for more! Will be going again! Staff was very helpful and very kind.

Had my belated birthday dinner with my family tonight, and was very impressed with the first class service by the staff, and the food was cooked to a high standard. Overall have to give them a 10 out of 10, especially for Leanne, who was very polite throughout the meal.

Good value food - most meals are 2 for the price of 1. Generally friendly staff, but sometimes overworked which slows service down (maybe they need to get the staff ratio right).

Decent outside area and enclosed garden. Small car park but it just about copes most of the time (although it does tend to flood, which reduces space).

The pub is always clean, meals are consistently good quality, and appears to have good clientele. Music is nearly always playing but it's never too loud.

I've used the pub for business meals, so I guess you can't get a better recommendation than that.

News for Travellers Inn:

  • Another pub has been granted a late licence despite opposition from nearby residents. The Travellers Inn at Ecclesfield will be allowed to serve until 11PM Sunday to Thursday and until Midnight on Friday and Saturday. One hour drinking up time will apply each day. The pub had wanted to open even later but local residents complained that they are already subjected to rowdy drunks fighting, vomiting and urinating in the street.
