The old 80s Bar in West Street is to reopen as West Street Live on 3rd October under the management of ABD Enterprises, a.k.a. father and son Brian and Dean Thorlby, who are also responsible for Cavell's Cafe Bar on nearby High Street. The pub is to be turned into a music-themed venue with showbiz memorabilia adorning the walls and regular live performances. The aim is to create a sophisticated atmosphere with a US feel of brushed brick and food from the Deep South.
