Thorncliffe Arms Pub Reviews

This was a very busy pub when the previous owners were there. Unfortunately when they moved they took the telephone number with them. Until recently it has been very difficult to ring to book.
The food is excellent and none of us have ever been disappointed, either at lunch time or in the evening. The chef and staff are always accommodating and really friendly (without being invasive). I must say that I am a sucker for starched white tablecloths so this restaurant ticks every box for me and my family.

Great food - a steak night to remember.
I was sent here by others who had visited it and they were spot on. The new landlord and his wife are fantastic, nothing was too much. They bent over to help us and everyone else in.
I would recommend the steak night, it's on a Wednesday night and at £6.99 for a rump or gammon you can't go wrong. I wish them all the best and will be seeing them very soon.

Not a lot to say, but it's gone very down hill. Went for a meal on Wednesday and you can tell the old chef's have gone. Not good, don't know who has it now or who's running it but I would give it up.

We stayed at this lovely pub in December 2008 when we travelled up to an 18th birthday party. The landlord and landlady where a very friendly couple and made us most welcome. The rooms we had were beautiful and really clean and comfortable, so much so we have rebooked them again for the 30th May when we are coming up to yet another party.
Would highly recommended this as a place to stay.
