Called at the Acorn Inn on Thursday 4th Feb 2010 at 6pm for a meal.

We were disappointed to find that when we tried to order a jacket potato we were told that they did not do jacket potatoes in the evening, although there was no mention of this fact on any of the menus or anywhere in the pub.

The food we did have was bland and tasteless, although the young lady serving was polite and courteous.

The Acorn Inn at Chapeltown celebrated its 150th anniversary by staging a family fun day. The event was attended by Lord Mayor Councillor Jane Bird and Sheffield Wednesday footballers Sean McAllister and Akpo Sodje. The former coaching inn was built in 1858 after being relocated from Bracken Hill.
