
Sheffield Pub News - March 200729/3/2007We have complete details for the Queen's Head pub in High Green. 08/3/2007We have removed the Sicey pub, formerly of Sicey Avenue, Shiregreen, from our database because it has now been demolished. 03/3/2007The Deep End pub in Hillsborough, currently under redevelopment prior to its reopening as a Wetherspoon's pub, is set to be called the Rawson Spring when it opens in July. 01/3/2007The Cannon Hotel pub in Sheffield city centre has had its licence permanently revoked after being described as a "den of iniquity" by police. At a hearing at the town hall on 1st March, South Yorkshire Police liquor licensing sergeant Chris Brown explained that there had been 42 recorded crimes at the pub in the past year and officers had been called to the premises 142 times in 12 months. Although the licensee has 21 days to appeal against the decision, Mr Brown said they had failed to attend the hearing and had already left the premises. Please also see our latest pub news page.
