About Sheffield Pub Guide

Sheffield Pub Guide was founded in 2002 in the effort to provide a complete guide to pubs in Sheffield. We looked on the Internet and couldn't find a web site that offered details of all the city's pubs. There were some pub guides that listed pubs in the city centre and also those that had a few pubs in certain areas. We wanted more, as I suspect you do, or you wouldn't be here!

We set out to list all pubs and give at least their name, address, telephone and website/email details. That was a start, and it gave people a point of reference where they could go if they needed to find a pub in Sheffield.

The next stage was to ask ourselves "what else would people want?". We came up with the idea of letting pubs add a lot more details about themselves. I mean, if they're going to appear in this directory, they should make as much information available as possible, right?

That's where we are right now. We are currently gathering lots of information and photographs about as many pubs as possible. Landlords can list special promotions, their menus, theme nights etc... You name it - they can advertise it! And where better to advertise your pub than in a directory that just contains pubs in Sheffield?
